Gratitude Circle Writing Contest Submissions Quarter IV: What I Am Grateful for in Life

-Submission 1-

I am so grateful and happy that my environmental allergies, mainly tree pollen, have significantly improved after over four years of treatment. I am now able to sleep comfortably at night and go outside for walks and play tennis without fear of increased nasal congestion or waking up during the night from severe allergy symptoms.

My allergist’s plan is to taper down my allergy shots and other injectable immunosuppressant medications and, hopefully, stop my medication completely this summer.

I can’t thank God enough for this recovery! 🙏🙏

I am very grateful when I can communicate with loved ones and have mutual understanding.

I love the deep bond and trust that come from this communication. When you utter words and hear back with the understanding that it is genuine and from the heart, it gives you a feeling of trust and belonging.

I truly appreciate frank communication with mutual respect and understanding.

Many problems in human life and in this world could be solved if this principle were applied more often. 🙏🙏

Many people are grateful for their friends and family, but I have many more things to be grateful for. I have a mom that is always bright and caring. I have a dad that is funny and kind. And my brother is always kind and loving. That is just a fraction of what I am grateful for.

First, I have an amazing family on both sides. Each person has their own personality and each one is great! I have cousins that support me, aunts and uncles too. I can’t express how much I love my family!

Next, I also have friends that support me! My friends are the one reason why I am ok with school. My friends are kind and they hang out with me for who I am. Some friends get in fights but we don’t and that is why I am also grateful for my friends!

And last but not least I am grateful because I have a home, and I am healthy. Many people don’t have a house. So, you should be grateful for everything you have. Some people also don’t have food or water. So don’t waste food because other people probably wish they were you right now!

In conclusion many people are grateful for other things but I am grateful for my family, my friends, and that I am healthy and safe. And that is why I am doing this, so I can express how grateful I am for everything that I have. And you should be grateful too!

People don’t always get what they want, which is okay. The important thing is to at least be thankful for the things that you do have. The moral to be grateful for what you have refers to gratitude. I am grateful for all the good things that I have, such as a loving family, the opportunity to travel, and food and water to eat and drink. One thing I am grateful for is a loving family. I am grateful to have my sister Nadalie, who is entertaining and kind, my mom, who is nice and caring, and my dad, who is fun and humorous. There are 15 million children globally who don’t have any parents, so I am grateful to have them in my life. Another thing I am grateful for is the opportunity to travel. Travelling is an amazing and beautiful opportunity, especially because you remember the breathtaking views and festive cities for your entire life. I am also grateful for food and water to eat and drink. 1 in 4 people globally don’t have access to clean water, and almost 700 million people worldwide don’t have any food to eat, which shows how hard life can be for some. It is important to be grateful for easy access to food and water for these reasons. Gratitude is associated with an essential life skill, which is to be happy with what you have.

“I’m blessed to be here,” said our Uber driver when we made small talk about how his day was going. Later, we all reflected on how right he was in his perspective. We often get stuck focusing on the little things we do not like about ourselves or our lives and forget the bigger picture of all the positives we have been so fortunate to be blessed with.

I am going to take the new year with that lens in mind and feel grateful just to be here. Seizing opportunities to make a difference and help people actually helps me pay my gratitude forward. In 2026, I look forward to continuing efforts in self-care and showing my kids how helping in the community can be rewarding in ways they did not expect.

I’m grateful for my family, friends, and my health. I’m also very thankful for self-driving cars and how much stress they relieve!

I’m grateful for all the opportunities afforded to me this year, and I’m grateful for another new year as an opportunity to pause and reflect on life.
